Talking to teens about smoking

Each day, about 1,000 American teens begin to smoke, but a new study could change that statistic.
The study is in next month’s issue of Pediatrics and finds doctors who talked to their young patients about the dangers of smoking had a positive impact and in many cases influenced them to quit.
And furthermore, those teenagers who were examined by a physician were more likely to try to quit, more than those who never saw a doctor.
